Letters to the Editor
It is fitting that the celebrations on the 60th anniversary of the Allies' victory in World War II should end in Moscow. No one can deny the fact that Russia played a prominent role in freeing Europe from the Nazi yoke.
Any unbiased look at WWII will show that the Soviet Army faced a more powerful, fitter German Army in Leningrad, Stalingrad, Kursk, etc., than the other Allies did. The German Army's defeat at Stalingrad was the turning point of the war. The Soviets did more to defeat Nazi Germany than any other nation.
