Draft electoral rolls put on display at polling booths, taluk and post offices

ERODE: The draft electoral rolls of 11 Assembly Constituencies in the district released on Tuesday would be on display at polling booths, post offices, taluk offices and Municipal offices, the Collector, D. Karthikeyan, said.

Missing from list

If their names were missing on the list, the voters could apply for name inclusion.

Those who completed 18 years of age as on 1.1.2005 could give their names for the rolls.

The inclusion would go on till May 30. Inclusion forms could be submitted at respective polling booths and post offices of the area, where special officials were posted.

Special inclusion camps would be conducted in the district on May 14, 15, 21 and 22, he said.

Application online

For the inclusion of names in the voters list, the applicants should submit Form 6, including details of age proof to the officials at the polling booth.

The Collector said that voters could collect the forms online at www.elections.in.nic.in.

Bulk submission

The president and secretary of recognised political parties, or of registered residential welfare association, executive officers of gram sabha and panchayat presidents could collect the applications in bulk and submit them to the officials.

For deletion of names from the voters list, shifting of residence or any other changes, the voters could submit Form 7, 8 and 8A, with relevant reasons for name deletion.

The forms were available at polling booths and post offices.

Names of voters who shifted residence were included in Form 999 at all polling booths.

To include their names, these voters could fill Form 8A, if they resided within the same Assembly segment, and Form 6 if they had shifted to other segment, the Collector said.
