DAVANGERE: Shyamanur Shivashankarappa, Davangere MLA and treasurer of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), on Tuesday took exception to the statement war between the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular). He said the quarrel between the two coalition partners is disgusting. The MLA was inaugurating roadworks here on Tuesday. He said he did not understand why his party continued in the coalition when leaders of the Janata Dal (Secular) criticised all top leaders of the Congress. Mr. Shivashankarappa said the Government said every MLA will be allocated Rs. 50 lakhs for taking up development work in his constituency. But it has not kept its promise. Even after 11 months, the Government has not built a single Ashraya house, he alleged.
