Minister to open teachers' meet from Friday

PATHANAMTHITTA: The 26th annual State meet of the Kerala Hindumatha Patasala Adhyapaka Parishad will be held at the Maharshimangalam Mahadevar Temple at Thuvayoor South, near Adoor, from Friday to Sunday. In a statement issued here on Monday, the Parishad president, T.G. Purushothaman Nair, said that the Water Resources Minister, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, would inaugurate the three-day meet on Friday afternoon.

Prof. Nair said the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) president, G. Raman Nair, would preside over the inaugural function. Apart from the Parishad office-bearers, the TDB member M.B. Sreekumar and the NSS director board member Kalanjoor Madhu will also address the meet.

The annual general body meeting of the Parishad will be held on Saturday.

The Food and Civil Supplies Minister, Adoor Prakash, will inaugurate the valedictory meet on Sunday afternoon. The TDB member Punalur Madhu will preside over the function.
