League winners felicitated by HCA

HYDERABAD: Victorious teams in various divisions of the HCA league were presented trophies at the annual prize distribution function of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, which was held at the Visaka International Stadium (Uppal) here on Monday.

Mr.T.S. Narayanaswami, Chairman & MD of Andhra Bank, who was the chief guest, lauded the efforts of HCA in promoting the sport throughout the year. Mr. G. Vinod, Minister for Labour & Employment (and President of HCA), M/s. N. Shivlal Yadav, Secretary of HCA, D.S. Chalapathi, Vice-president and P.Yadgiri, Treasurer, were among those present.

Shivlal Yadav said Hyderabad put up a creditable display with the seniors making it to the Ranji Trophy semifinals, the under-22 team winning the C.K. Nayudu Trophy and the under-19 team reaching the final of the Cooch Behar Trophy.

The HCA handed over cash incentive of Rs.10,000 to the Hyderabad U-22 team and Rs.5,000 to the under-19 team through Mr. Narayanaswami.
