THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Housing Board (KSHB) has so far recovered Rs. 55.23 crores from its defaulting customers through the one-time-settlement (OTS) scheme announced by it earlier this year. In a statement on Tuesday, the KSHB said defaulters could make use of the scheme only till June 30. From January next year, the KSHB would resume proceedings to attach the properties of the defaulters to recover dues. In cases where the KSHB had already initiated attachment measures, the defaulting customers would be exempted from the payment of five-per-cent `collection charge' related to the recovery proceedings if they utilised the OTS scheme and bring themselves up-to-date with the repayment of their loan instalments before June 30.
