Municipal poll process to be completed by September 27

NIZAMABAD:
The Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mohammad Ali Shabbir, said that the Government wants to complete the process for the municipal council and corporation elections by September 27.
At a news conference at Kamareddy on Tuesday, he said: "Our Government intends to complete the process by September-end. However, the election dates have to be decided by the State Election Commission.''
On the Babli project coming up across the Godavari in Maharashtra, he said an expert committee which visited the project already presented a report to the Minister for Irrigation, Ponnala Lakshmaiah.
Accusing the Telugu Desam Party of unnecessarily making a fuss over small projects coming up in Maharashtra, the Minister said in case the projects were constructed without flouting rules they should be accepted.
