WARANGAL: The district police on Tuesday arrested B. Uppalaiah and seized from him 300 live rounds of Springfiled weapon near Station Ghanpur here. According to the police, four unidentified men came to his house three days ago and instructed him to hand over a bag containing ammunition to one who comes to him near a temple at Chilpurgutta on Tuesday. On credible information, the police laid a trap and began checking vehicles going towards Chilpurgutta from Pamnoor this morning. Uppalaiah, who was travelling by an autorickshaw began running away leaving the bag behind on seeing the police. However, the police chased and nabbed him. The police said he was sympathiser of the CPI (ML) Maoist party and had been working for the naxal group for long.
