CHENNAI: A constable with the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department and his wife succumbed to burn injuries at the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital on Tuesday. Police identified them as Jothi (41) and Meera (38), occupants of the police quarters on Kamarajar Salai in Mandaveli. Meera reportedly set herself ablaze on Monday and Jothi attempted to douse the flames, the police said.
