Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Goodnews Homes' Ministries are holding a `Mission Book Fair' at Memorial Hall in Park Town, with hundreds of books on Christianity for sale. There are huge discounts on offer and the prices begin from Rs.10. A part of the proceedings go to the welfare of 80 street children at Vyasarpadi.

According to the organisers, a special feature of the fair is the "Spiritual Inventory Packages for Children" that help children to build a relationship with God. The package is filled with songs, puzzles and activity sheets. Buyers will get a free Bible with every package. `Where Hearts are Shared' cookbook is a hardbound that has recipes from women around the world. The book offers several ideas for table centrepieces — an old-fashioned doll with a small basket filled with a floral bouquet, various sizes and shapes of bottles filled with flowers, ribbons and sparkling confetti and teddy bears...Also on sale are family handbooks that answers questions about money, job interviews, speaking in public and understanding standardised tests.
