KATHMANDU: Nepal has released four senior politicians arrested at different times following the February 1 power grab by King Gyanendra. Three Nepali Congress leaders and one Nepal Communist Party-UML Standing committee member were released on Tuesday, party sources said. Those released were Nepali Congress central members Ramsharan Mahat, Dilbahadur Gharti and Chakra Prasad Bastola and CPN-UML leader Subhas Nemwang. The leaders release came after India on Tuesday announced partial resumption of defence supplies to Nepal and hoped ``further early'' steps would be taken towards the restoration of democracy and constitutional monarchy in that country.
