Bar girls
This refers to the report, `In defence of the bar girls' (May 10). I completely agree with the Pulitzer-nominated author Suketu Mehta on the issue. The urban lifestyle is transcending into a sub-culture with many complexities. Banning them will not "combat the vice." It could force them to continuing the same job, under a veil. The Government should be more pragmatic in thinking of a social reform instead of a sudden ban.
