BHUBANESWAR: As many as 105 schools of Orissa recorded zero result when the annual High School Certificate examination results were declared by the State Board of Secondary Education on Wednesday. The State Mass Education Minister, Nagendra Pradhan, said that despite a decline in the number of schools with zero results this year it was a matter of concern. "We will take necessary measures to improve the situation." A total of 151 schools had failed to get any of their students passed last year. A total of 24 students remained in the top 10 category. Pallavi Lenka from the Government Girls' High School, Jagatsinghpur, stood first in the list. As many as 2,83,650 students had appeared in the examination in 1,751 examination centres held in March, and 55.66 per cent of them came out successful. The rate of pass was 52.54 per cent last year.
