ColdWatt opens India development centre

BANGALORE: The Texas-headquartered ColdWatt has set up an India Development Centre in Bangalore to commercialise power conversion technologies developed by the aerospace R&D lab Rockwell Scientific Company. ColdWatt makes AC/DC and DC/DC power converters for computing, networking, storage and telecom applications. The Bangalore centre will be the company's largest engineering facility outside the U.S. The company employs over 150 hardware design engineers in power conversion and embedded systems, V. Thiagarajan, Managing Director of ColdWatt's India operations, said in a statement here.
