The Hindu employment fair from May 28; a big reason to smile for jobseekers

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Here's a big reason for jobseekers to smile, this month-end. " The Hindu Opportunities Fair 2005," the grandest job fair in this part of the world, will come alive at the Bangalore Trade Centre near ITPL on May 28 and May 29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Be there to stand a fair chance of landing the right job.

Check out what the job fair has in store: stalls by over 30 companies — all big names in the areas of information technology, IT-enabled services, business process outsourcing (BPO) and engineering — and on-the-spot tests and interviews, all at a venue with an area of over 5,300 sq m, complete with 95 stalls, 11 test areas and 50 interview rooms. If you are a fresher or completed your graduation last year, you could simply walk in. You could also be someone with up to six years of work experience. The job fair could be the turning point of your life.

Now, if you are ready for the visit, be prepared with your resume. You could either register online or register your name in person at the fair venue. To register online, log onto http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/jobs/index.htm by May 16, and you will be guided through the process.

For registering your name, you can also submit hard copies of your resume at the venue. You will be given a registration number at the desk. This number will help make the recruitment process simpler. The event is presented by Cognizant Technology Solutions in association with iGATE Global Solutions Ltd., Verizon and e-Serve.

A success in Chennai

The Hindu Opportunities Fair comes to Bangalore after the successful events in Chennai and Coimbatore. The Chennai event, held between October 15 and October 17 last year, attracted over 40,000 participants from in and around Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakapatnam and cities in Kerala.

The Coimbatore fair held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex on February 26 and 27 this year had over 40,000 job-seekers from Chennai, Hyderabad, cities in Kerala, Madurai, Trichy, Bangalore, Vijayawada and Vizag queuing up to grab the top jobs on offer. Armed with your resume, be ready for another crack at that dream job.
