New facility for college

The foundation stone laying ceremony for the new Central Sterilisation Supply Department will be conducted by the Chairman of Ananda Social and Educational Trust, P.L. Nanjundaswamy at B.R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital on Thursday on its Kadugondanahalli campus. The college chairman, M.K. Kempasiddaiah, will be the chief guest.

Power theft detected

The Vigilance Cell of Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) conducted a raid against theft-prone power installations in some villages under Andanagere sub-division, Devalahosahalli, Kamalapura, Hosuru and Malligere on Wednesday. As many as 53 cases of power thefts were booked, BESCOM said.

Residential camp

The Sadhana Sangama Trust, Basaveshwara Nagar, will organise a residential camp till May 15 where yogasanas, surya namaskar, pranayama and relaxation techniques will be taught in Kannada. Vaccination

Karuna Animal Welfare Association, to mark Basava Jayanthi and Animal Welfare Fortnight, will conduct a free anti-rabies vaccination and treatment camp for pet dogs on Sunday at the Veterinary Hospital on Queen's Road.
