This Day That Age
Prince Charles, six-year-old heir to the British throne, is to find out for himself soon how other children work and play. His parents, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, believe it is time he was allowed to mix freely with boys and girls of his own age. In a letter to British newspapers on May 10, they announced their plans for the Prince's future education. But the Queen and the Duke want him to be free from publicity. Their letter, signed by the Queen's Secretary, asked for privacy for the Prince and the officials accompanying him.
