Amara Raja to expand retail network

HYDERABAD: Amara Raja Batteries Limited (ARBL) has aggressive plans to expand its retail network during this financial year. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, G. Indeevar, head of Aftermarket, ARBL, said Andhra Pradesh was an important centre for automotive batteries as passenger car, truck and tractor segments were booming here. At the all India level, the company plans to increase `pitStops' from 62 to 110 by March next. Similarly the retail network is targeted at 12,000 against 9,000. The company opened its second `pitStop (exclusive outlet)' at Secunderabad (62nd in the country) on Thursday.
