Rupee declines
MUMBAI:
The Rupee declined against the U.S. currency, adjusting to a sharp downward correction, as the euphoria over a possible yuan revaluation receded in the background. In fairly choppy trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee closed at 43.36/37 a dollar, a steep seven paise drop from Wednesday's near six-year closing peak of 43.29/30 after testing early highof 43.2850/2950. It opened weak at 43.32/34 a dollar.
The rupee closed at a new 71-month high on Wednesday at 43.29/30 a dollar.
