PONDICHERRY: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam legislator of Pondicherry A Kasilingam has called upon the municipal authorities to ensure that the dogs caught by the municipal workers were removed from the streets permanently. In a release here on Thursday he said that presently the municipal authorities were catching pigs and taking them out of the Union Territory. Stray dogs are were caught and subjected to sterilization. The dogs were however unleashed thereafter on the streets. This was a piecemeal approach and would not remove the menace of the dogs, particularly the rabid dogs.
