BANGALORE:
The inter-city polo tournament's first league match was expected to be a corker. Bangalore (Army Service Corps) and Delhi (Remount Veterinary Corps) had shored up its teams with some top players in the country and a close encounter was expected. However, the home team won the contest eight goals to one-and-a half. The visitors from Delhi ended up with a blank scoring day as it had started the match with a one-and-a-half goal handicap advantage.
