I'm not tired of captaincy: Ganguly

Sports Reporter

HYDERABAD: Sourav Ganguly says he is not tired of captaincy and will try his best and come out of the lean patch he has been going through during the recent Test and one-day series against Pakistan. "It is a fact that I have not just played well. It happens to most of the cricketers. And, I am not going to be the last one to go through such a phase," he told the media here during a promotional campaign for LG on Thursday.

Asked whether he had ever thought that he would go through this phase of uncertainty, particularly on captaincy, he said, "the position of the captain of the Indian cricket team is such that it gets a lot of attention and debates are bound to be there. Some people will be for you and some against you. But, definitely, I am not tired of captaincy."

Ganguly also said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has done the right thing by appointing a panel of former Test cricketers to select the next coach of the Indian team.
