India, Pakistan sign minutes
B. Muralidhar Reddy
ISLAMABAD:
After two days of haggling, Pakistan and India on Thursday signed on the minutes of the talks on Kishanganga Hydropower Project. The preparation of the draft was delayed due to objections raised by the respective parties.
The three-day official talks ended on Tuesday but the experts continued their informal deliberations in Lahore to reach a consensus on the draft. This delay also held up the return of the Indian delegation.
The experts are expected to meet again for the second round of talks in New Delhi later this month on the occasion of the annual meeting of Indus Water Basin Commission.
