BANGALORE: The PU Education Director, D.N. Nayak, said here on Friday that the supplementary examinations for students who failed in the second Pre-University examinations will be held on July 7 or 8. This follows requests from students and parents that the examinations be held early so that there is no time lag between the main examinations and the supplementary examinations, he said.
Classes from June 1
The revised curriculum for second PU students will be introduced from this year onwards. The classes for second PU students will start from June 1. Last year the classes started from June 15 but because of the introduction of new curriculum, the classes are beginning early this year. Since the ICSE and CBSE results have not yet been announced, the PU Board has directed all affiliated colleges to reserve 5 per cent seats for those students. The issue of giving photocopies of valued answer scripts pertaining to second PUC examinations this year have been introduced for all subjects and revaluation will be done for all subjects. The last date for submitting application for photocopies is May 21 and the fee per answer script is Rs. 300. The last date for submitting application for revaluation is May 28 and revaluation fee per answer script is Rs.750. The last date for submitting application for re-totalling is May 28 and fee per answer script is Rs. 200. The date for giving the fees along with application for the July 2005 supplementary examination without penal fee is May 31 and with a penal fee of Rs. 20 per day to a maximum of Rs. 120 (in addition to the examination fee) is June 6.
