NEW DELHI: Delhi University has offered to help the South-West District police in counselling the student who was gang raped in a moving car in Dhaula Kuan on Sunday. "We have offered the services of our experts from the Gender Sensitisation Committee and the Women's Studies and Development Centre. We had to go through the police as the identity of the girl is not known to us," said Proctor Shyam Menon. Describing the establishment of the ordinance for the Committee on Sexual Harassment as a success, the University today said it had brought about a deterrent as there was fear about the procedures. But the campus could only be as safe as the rest of the city, Prof. Menon noted.
