Higher education

This refers to the op-ed page article, `Higher education hits a low' (May 13). Chasing answer papers after university examinations are over is not new. But chasing answer papers of entrance examinations that only provide admission to a course is a new phenomenon. `Education for education's sake' is no longer the motto. This is the cause for the ills afflicting education, higher education in particular.
