ADILABAD: Seven mandals achieved cent per cent pass percentage in the class seven common board examination in Adilabad district. The pass per cent in the results declared on Friday was 98.67. Releasing the results at a press conference here, the district Collector J. Sudha Rani and District Educational Officer, P.B. Narsinga Rao, said the cent per cent results were achieved by schools in Lokeswaram, Mamda, Vemanpalli, Bejjur, Bheemini, Rebbena and Tiryani. A total of 44,782 students had appeared for the exams, they added. Ms. Sudha Rani said the failure of 290 students in English language was a matter of concern. The Vidya volunteers who teach English need to undergo reorientation course in the language to improve standards, she observed. The Assistant Commissioner Government Exams, Anjaneyulu was also present.
