ANANTAPUR: The police arrested four TDP activists on Friday on the charge of instigating violence at Penukonda, according to the Superintendent of Police, R.S. Praveen Kumar. The arrested persons are Prasad, the husband of Penukonda MPP, Narayanaswamy, the former MPP of Penukonda, G.V.P. Naidu and Shankar. According to information reaching here, the police allegedly got Shankar tonsured and took him round the village at Mamillapalli on Saturday. All the six TDP men killed in the violence were identified by the police. The Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, the Director-General of Police, Swaranjit Sen, the Rayalaseema Zone IGP, R.P. Meena, and the SP, R.S. Praveen Kumar, were closeted for three hours at the police guest house at Penukonda on their way back to Bangalore on Saturday.
