The telecast will cover one subject everyday from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Professional ethics, total quality management, principles of environment science and engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics and computer science and information technology will be the subjects taught. The varsity has provided link facilities to 32 engineering colleges and will soon extend it to other colleges, Mr. Balagurusamy said. The varsity will soon offer video-conferencing and data-downloading facilities. Saturday would be devoted to training programmes for schoolteachers. AU-TDCC was started in collaboration with ISRO's Development and Educational Communication Unit to enable direct classroom links to all engineering colleges affiliated to the Anna University.
