Six new meet records rewritten

THRISSUR: Six new meet records marked the second day of the State junior and sub-junior aquatics championships at the Aquatic Complex here on Saturday.

The record breakers were G. Sarath of Thiruvananthapuram (boys' Group I 100m freestyle), C. Lakrishna of Thiruvananthapuram (boys' Group III 50m breaststroke), C.V. Abhirami of Thiruvananthapuram (girls' Group II 1500m freestyle), H.S. Priyanka of Thiruvanthapuram (girls' Group II 400m individual medley), Reeta Francis of Ernakulam (girls' Group V 50m freestyle) and the 4x50m freestyle relay quartet of Thiruvanthapuram in the boys' Group III.

Group I (under-17): 100m freestyle: G. Sarath (Tvm), (57.83s: NMR; OR: 58.44). 400m freestyle: G. Sarath (Tvm), (4:43.30). 200m breaststroke: S. Sunil (Tvm), (2:51.09). 100m butterfly: K. Rajesh Kumar (Tvm), (1:06.99). 400m individual medley: L.G. Muralikrishnan (Tvm), (5:30.97).

Group II (under-14): 100m freestyle: Sreejith Gokul (Tvm), (1:05.70). 200m freestyle: S.B. Sibi (Tvm), (2:26.02). 200m breaststroke: H.
