A day of high quality dog shows

Udhagamandalam: All roads at this vacation destination led to the Breeks HADP Open Air stadium where high quality dog shows were staged by the Madras Canine Club here on Saturday.

Competition was keen with the shows having attracted over 300 entries from various parts of India.

In the 64th championship dog show, a pomeranian bred in India, CH. Vickvin's Smart Guy owned by G. Sudheer Raju was adjudged the best.

Second best went to an imported pug dog, CH. Wrinklewood's Rebelrun Dream Machine owned by Raju Simon while the third was a dachshund (Std) smooth bred in India bitch Dream Comes True of Creation owned by Arun Hazra.

The fourth best was a retriever (labrador) bred in India bitch CH. Vidane's Show Girl owned by S. Pathy while the trophy for the best puppy was won by a retriever (labrador) bred in India dog Sans Craintes Southern Surprise also owned by S. Pathy.

In the 65th show the best exhibit was the pomeranian CH. Vickvin's Smart Guy.

The second best was the retriever labrador CH. Vidane's Show Girl. A dobermann imported bitch Debut's Summer Weather Bruda owned by C.V. Sudarshan was third best.

The fourth was a golden retriever imported dog Aust. CH. Elbadari Star Ov Zwion owned by T. Preetham while the best puppy was a retriever (labrador) Sans Craintes Southern Surprise.

The judge for the 64th show was Ms. Lyn Watson of Australia, while Nagendran Reguraj adjudicated the 65th show.

They also gave away the prizes.
