MUMBAI: India's foreign exchange reserves fell for the second consecutive week, registering a decline of $423 million for the week ended May 6. These reserves stood at $141.475 billion during the week under review, according to the Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement released here on Saturday. The fall in inflows was mainly due to appreciation of the dollar and appreciation/depreciation of non-U.S. currencies such as euro, British pound sterling and Japanese yen, analysts said. Foreign currency assets also registered a fall of $366 million at $135.584 billion for the reporting week.
