BANGALORE: Online registrations for The Hindu Opportunities Fair 2005 begin on Monday. The employment fair, the biggest to be held here so far, will be on May 28 and 29 and the Trade Centre, Bangalore near ITPL, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. For registering online, log on to http://www.hindu.com, thehindu/jobs/index.htm and you will be guided through the process. You will be given a unique registration code for reference and use at the venue. For freshers, it will be prefixed with `f' followed by a number and prefixed with `e' for those who with job experience. Along with a printout of the downloaded registration, you should try to bring as many hard copies of your resume as possible. While copying facilities will be made available at the venue, long queues are likely. With a wide choice of potential employers present, it helps to have spare copies of your resume. Those unable to register online for any reason, can come directly to the venue and contact the registration desks there. Others should come with their registration code for easy reference. The sprawling 5,300-sq metre venue will have 95 stalls, 11 test areas and 50 interview rooms so that applicants can be processed as fast as possible. Apart from freshers and those with up to six years job experience, some potential employers are looking for last year's graduates, working now or not. The two-day employment fair is presented by Cognizant Technology Solutions in association with iGATE Global Solutions Ltd, Verizon and e-Serve. Hotel Bangalore International, the hospitality-sponsor will have a fullfledged food court at the venue for refreshments.
