HYDERABAD: Playful moments for 12-year-old Sunita turned into a veritable death trap after the strings of the swing on which she was playing entangled her in a vice-like grip, choking her to death. After a vain battle for life, the girl died the next day. The tragic incident occurred at Dasarlapally village under Kandukur police station limits on the city outskirts on May 12. According to the police, around 3 p.m on Thursday Sunita went to a mango grove near her house. She was swaying on the swing, going in circles. The swing turned too fast and her neck got entwined in the strings. The girl fell unconscious and her father, A. Ramachdnaraiah, an agriculturist, who was working nearby, rushed to her rescue. Sunita was shifted to a nearby hospital where she died on Friday evening while undergoing treatment.
