Boy drowned in lake

Seven-year-old Syed Arif of Santosh Nagar was drowned while swimming in a lake on Friday. The police said the boy, with his brother, Syed Adil, and friend, Sharfuddin, went to the lake yesterday afternoon. His body was fished out later.

Two commit suicide

A seventh class student, Salma of Kavadipally village in Hayatnagar, allegedly hanged herself from the ceiling at her residence on Friday. It was learnt that the girl resorted to the extreme step due to ill health.

Twenty-year-old K. Babita of Narayanguda hanged herself at her residence on Friday. The police are to establish the reason for the drastic step.

Two die in mishaps

A cobbler, Gaekwad Ramesh (32), died after being hit by an MMTS train near Nature Cure Hospital on Friday. K. Kishore Kumar Singh (50), working in Commercial Tax Office, died after his motorcycle was hit by a vehicle on Friday night.
