Letters to the Editor
This refers to Lok Jan Shakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan's demand that a Muslim be made Bihar Chief Minister. Although it is aimed at enhancing his secular credentials, the demand does make sense considering the situation in the State. Also there is no need for Hindus to take Mr. Paswan's statement as an insult to their community. This is not a Hindu versus Muslim problem, but a national one.
Suresh Moorthy,
Mr. Paswan's plea for a Muslim Chief Minister in Bihar shows that he wants to strengthen his Muslim vote bank and simultaneously keep RJD chief Lalu Prasad out of power.
Jyoti Krishan Verma,
