Letters to the Editor
This refers to the editorial, `Long-term friends, short-term tactics' (May 13). You have rightly pointed out the political opportunism of the TDP in aligning with the BJP to defeat the Congress. But why blame the TDP alone? Regional parties in a few other States too have adopted such tactics. Due to conflicts in their basic ideologies and differences in their outlook on many issues at the macro level, regional parties will continue to be destabilising forces in the coalition governments at the Centre.
