CHENNAI: Englishman Michael Adams wrested the sole lead at the Mtel Masters chess tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria, when he shocked the world classical champion, Russian Vladimir Kramnik, in 41 moves playing with white pieces, according to information received here. Meanwhile, Indian Viswanathan Anand, the top seed, repeated the position against Ukranian Ruslan Ponomariov to draw his third straight game.
