Two share lead
KOZHIKODE: K.M. Nisam and U.C. Mohanan shared the lead with three points each at the end of the third round of the State senior chess tournament at the Tal Chess Academy here on Sunday. Seventh seed Nisam upset second seed O.T. Anil Kumar while U.C. Mohanan overcame Lakshmi Narayan in the third round. Top seed K. Ratnakaran was held to a draw by M.A. Joy Lazer. The results (third round): K. Ratnakaran 2.5 drew with M.A. Joy Lazar 2.5; K.M. Nisam 3 bt O.T. Anil Kumar 2; U.C. Mohanan 3 bt Lakshmi Naryanan 2; P.V. Gireesh 2.5 drew with Sumit Balan 2.5; Satheesh Kumar 1.5 lost to Ganesh Bhat 2.5; K. Sujeesh 2.5 bt Abdu Rahman 1.5; P.K. Arjun 1.5 lost to N. Santhosh Kumar 2.5; Madhusoodanan 2 drew with E.
