KANNUR: The pulse polio vaccine drive in the district on Sunday recorded nearly 93 per cent achievement. According to Health Department officials here, pulse polio vaccination drops were administered to 1,93,824 children below the age of five out of a total 2,08,554 children targeted for the vaccination drive. The achievement rate was 92.94 per cent. As many as 1,668 booths were set up in the district for administering the drops. Health volunteers also adopted house-to-house strategy to ensure higher rate of achievement in the vaccination drive, they said.
