VIJAYAWADA: Members of the Krishna District Lorry Owners' Association, along with truck drivers, cleaners and their families, took out a `candlelight' rally on Sunday and held a demonstration at Benz Circle as part of AIDS awareness among transport workers. The rally, conducted by Suraksha Project of Lorry Owners' Association, marked "International AIDS Candle Light Memorial Day" being observed around the world for encouraging AIDS prevention measures and activities among vulnerable groups. The demonstrators formed a circular human chain around the traffic island at Benz Circle by holding candles and sending out a message -- follow healthy practices and save lives from the dreaded disease.
