MANGALORE: The Puttur rural police have recovered a country-made pistol and arrested three persons in this connection on Saturday. The police gave the names of the arrested as Ganapathy Bhat from whom the pistol was recovered, Gopanna Achary, an agent and Addu, alias Abdullah, who reportedly made the weapon. They were produced before the Magistrate who remanded them in judicial custody on Sunday. A police team during its routine patrol found Ganapathy Bhat moving around in a suspicious manner near Sarve village. When questioned, he did not give convincing answers. The team, which took into custody, recovered the pistol from his possession, the police said. Based on his confession, the police arrested Gopanna Achary and Addu.
