MANGALORE: Two persons were killed in road accidents reported in Mangalore Rural (Kankanady) police station limits in the past 24 hours. The police said a unidentified man died in a hit-and-run case which took place between Pumpwell Circle and Padil on Bangalore-Mangalore National Highway around 11.30 p.m. on Saturday. B. Fathima, 66, who was injured when a car by which she was travelling collided with a van near Ujjodi, died in a private hospital on Saturday. The police have registered a case on a complaint by the victim's son, Basheer, who was driving the car.
