2 get life sentence

TIRUNELVELI:
A Fast Track Court at Tuticorin has sentenced two persons to life imprisonment and five others to ten years of incarceration for murdering a youth.
According to the prosecution, K. Balakrishnan (34) of Natarajapuram Street, Kovilpatti and his relative, Murugan, allegedly murdered K. Irulappan of Vellaalankottai near Kayathar in 1992.
In retaliation, Balakrishnan's father-in-law, Subramanian, was killed in 1993.
Exactly ten years later, Balakrishnan was murdered by V. Krishnasamy (54), S. Murugan (37), K. Kangaari (38), K. Karuppasamy (27), K. Mariappan (24), K. Mari Selvam (21) and S. Irulappan (42), all hailing from Vellaalankottai on May 7, 2003 when the victim was attending the village festival with his wife, Mala and other relatives.
