HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh circle of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched the e-pin service giving its prepaid Excel mobile subscribers the convenience of recharging electronically through Andhra Bank ATMs, AP Online Outlets and eSeva centres with the help Oxigen, a prepaid recharge service provider.

Launching the service, the Chief General Manager, Sanjaya Kumar, said it was part of Andhra Pradesh Telecom's endeavour to make available recharges round-the-clock in all denominations and anytime-anywhere-any value service even to roaming subscribers. It was truly a case of "What you see is what you get at the most affordable rates," he said.

Retail sale points

The CEO, Oxigen, India Prepaid Services (P) Limited, Sunil Kulkarni, said they had a footprint of over 7,000 retail points of sale, including electronic point of sale terminals, cyber cafes, bank ATMs and mobile phones in New Delhi, Mumbai, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Punjab. The footprint would increase to 16 telecom circles and 25,000 points of sale by the end of December, 2005, he said, adding that the idea was to ensure that no subscriber ran out of talktime anytime and anywhere.

Mr. Sanjaya Kumar inaugurated a three-day exhibition of BSNL's services for the benefit of the public at Asman Mahal in the P&T Quarters at Lakdikapul.

As an incentive, he said, any customer who books any BSNL service, including Bfone, Tarang or DataOne, would get a free gift of India Telephone Card worth Rs. 200. Also, they would be eligible to participate in a lucky draw.
