This Day That Age
A depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal, about 250 miles east of Cuddalore, and it is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm, according to a weather report issued on May 16. Widespread rain has fallen along the east coast and in Madras, Cuddalore getting about four inches of rain for the 24 hours ending with 8.30 on May 17 morning. Madras has been experiencing occasional showers.
