KATHMANDU: Prosecutors sought a 10-year prison term for former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on graft charges on Tuesday in the royal government's campaign to root out corruption since the King grabbed power three months ago. Mr. Deuba, who was sacked in February and detained last month, was brought before the Royal Commission for Corruption Control under heavy security for a hearing, commission spokesman Prem Karki said. Prosecutors have mounted two cases against him, accusing him and his former Cabinet Minister, Prakash Man Singh, of embezzling 370 million rupees. AP
