TIRUCHI: H. Sowmya of Erode, with nine points won the title in the 33rd Tamil Nadu women's chess championship, conducted by the Aaron Chess Academy, which concluded at Melakalkandarkottai here on Monday. C. Delphin of Madurai with eight points finished runner-up. The final placings (after 11 rounds): 1. H. Sowmya (9), 2. C. Delphin (8), 3. M. R. Sangeetha (7.5), 4. Mahima Rajmohan (7.5), 5. K. Jennitha Anto (7.5) and 6. S. Nabeela Farheen (7.5).
