A press release issued here said Mr. Gupta was speaking at a meeting held here on Tuesday to review the drinking water situation in the district. He directed the tahsildar and the Executive Officers of taluk panchayats to pass bills only after schemes are executed. The meeting was informed that the State Government has sanctioned Rs. 3.04 crores for easing the water crisis in the district, including Rs. 1.60 crores for the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation.
