CHENNAI: The higher secondary (Plus Two) results will be released on Wednesday. The Director of Government Examinations, T. Jagannathan, told newspersons that the results would be released at 9.30 a.m. They would also be available online at over 20 websites.More than 5.71 lakh students wrote the examinations in March. Students in tsunami-affected areas took the exams in April 2005. The answer-sheets were valued in mid-April. This year the number of girls (2.66 lakhs) was more than that of boys (2.51 lakhs). The publication of the results would set in motion the process of admission to professional courses. The mark sheets will be issued to the students within a week. Students seeking admission to professional courses can use print-outs of the marks from the websites while applying, Mr. Jagannathan said.
